The United Veterans Council invites you to come together this Memorial Day for the Manistee Ceremonies! 9 AM: Trinity Lutheran Cemetery on Merkey/Maple Road Various veterans' groups and their auxiliaries will place poppies on wreaths, followed by a rifle salute and taps. 10 AM: Memorial Day Parade Starting at the corner of River & Division Street, and ending at the Veteran's Memorial Park, in which various veterans’ groups and their auxilaries will place poppies. There will be a brief speech by the mayor and Ted Arens at the Veterans Gazebo. The United States Coast Guard will place a wreath in the river followed by a rifle salute and taps. 11 AM: Oak Grove Cemetery Immediately following the parade, various veteran groups and their auxiliaries will place poppies on wreaths, followed by a rifle salute and taps.
