Job Purpose:
We are seeking a Fleet Maintenance Technician to support the day-to-day operation of our commercial truck fleet. This is a hands-on, hourly position that plays a key role in keeping our vehicles safe, compliant, and on the road.
This role combines parts coordination, light-to-moderate repair work, and vehicle shuttling, making it ideal for someone with a background in fleet or truck maintenance who enjoys variety and responsibility.
Fleet Maintenance Support
- Assist with maintenance and repair work on commercial trucks and equipment
- Perform inspections, basic diagnostics, and preventative maintenance
- Support senior mechanics with repairs as needed
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized shop environment
Parts & Inventory Coordination
- Order parts and supplies for fleet maintenance and repairs
- Communicate with vendors and suppliers on availability, pricing, and delivery
- Track parts usage and help maintain inventory levels
- Coordinate parts needs with shop staff to minimize vehicle downtime
Vehicle Shuttling & Logistics
- Shuttle trucks to and from repair shops, vendors, and company locations
- Assist with vehicle movements within the yard or between facilities
- Support fleet logistics during peak maintenance or repair periods
General Fleet Support
- Assist with recordkeeping related to maintenance and repairs
- Communicate clearly with management regarding vehicle status and repair needs
- Pitch in where needed to support overall fleet operations
