This workshop outlines five proven steps for finding a profitable, satisfying niche as a self-employed consultant, professional or creative, making the most of what and who you already know.  Based on the principles of lateral career moves in The Career Lattice (McGraw Professional, 2012), which is included in the workshop fee, you will identify a ‘sweet spot’ and map a transition plan. You’ll also develop and practice three types of pitches essential for winning transitional experiences and your first clients. All skill levels welcome. This workshop, offered in partnership with the Manistee Chamber, is perfect for: experienced professionals and creatives, such as engineers, artists, designers, writers, editors, content developers and project managers, current staffers who want to transition to self-employment for their next career stage, and recent retirees who want to build a sustainable freelance income.
