Rick has been beekeeping for more than 10 years and has managed 30 and 40 colonies of honeybees in 5 different locations\, each of which is called an "apiary". Rick is on the Board of Directors of the Michigan Beekeeping Association\; The Southeast Michigan Beekeepers Association and represents Michigan nationally as a delegate of the American Beekeeping Association and the Eastern Apicultural Society. Rick has completed Cornell University's Master Beekeeping Program in 2022 and often mentors local beekeepers.
