Our Filer City mill has three machines that produce semi-chemical corrugating medium. At this mill, the No. 1 and No. 2 paper machines primarily produce 23# and 26# medium, running each grade weekly. The No. 3 paper machine is a heavyweight machine, producing grades from 30# up to 40#.
PCA annually produces over 4.1 million tons of kraft linerboard (the outer layers of a corrugated container) and semi-chemical corrugating medium (the fluted center layer) for PCA’s own converting facilities, as well as for numerous domestic and international customers. All of PCA’s mills are Sustainable Forestry Initiative® (SFI®)-certified.
